FAQs

How long do I cook the whole roaster?

Our whole roasters come with a pop-up timer for letting you know when the chicken is done, but a a general rule is to cook at 350°F for about 22 minutes per pound. Even with the pop-up timer, always double check the temperature in the thickest part of the thigh to make sure the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F.

What is the giblet packet made of and is it safe to eat the chicken if I accidentally left the packet in the cavity when I cooked it?

The giblet packet is made of food grade paper, much like parchment paper, and is sealed by crimping. While it’s not advised to leave the giblet packet in the chicken while cooking, it is not harmful if left in there.
