Live music, food, crafted beverages, and a marketplace full of artisan goods---take all of this an add date night. Welcome the new Night Market at The Home Depot Backyard.
It begins this Thursday, October 3 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. and continuing every first Thursday for the rest of the year. The 11 acres of greenspace surrounding Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a place for gathering, wellness evenings, sports tailgating, and now a fun-filled evening market experience. And it’s right in the heart of downtown and free to the public.
Sip, Savor, and shop through an artisan market curated by Indie Craft Experience. 15-20 artists and local makers will set up with jewelry, candles, pottery, paper goods, and apothecary products.
Enjoy bites from some of Atlanta’s celebrated chefs. Sample Greek dishes from Kyma in Buckhead with Pano Karatossos. Try Nick Leahy’s Provencal fare from AIX and Tin Tin in Westside. Shalke Shack’s Backyard Burger will be available. Connor Slewitzke from downtown Roswell’s Gracious Plenty will have bites from the breakfast and bakery. Try Howard Hsu’s Sweet Auburn BBQ as well as Kevin Outz’s meats and spreads from The Spotted Trotter.
Each week there will be local beverage experts to shake and stir cocktails. This inaugural week brings Kellie Thorn of Hugh Acheson Restaurant Group. Acheson’s restaurant, By George, opens soon in downtown’s Candler Hotel. Official sponsors include: Bulleit Bourbon, Captain Morgan, Don Julio tequila and Creature Comforts.
