Ground Chicken Bolognese & Pasta

1 lb
Springer Mountain Farms Ground Chicken
28 oz can
Crushed tomatoes
28 oz can
Tomato sauce
1 cup
Chicken broth
1
White or yellow onion, diced
2 tablespoons
Garlic, minced
2 teaspoons
Fresh oregano, minced
1 tablespoon
Fresh basil, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons
Kosher salt
1 teaspoon
Fresh, coarsely ground black pepper
1
Bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon
Crushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon
Olive oil
1 lb
Dried pasta, cooked per package directions
  1. Brown ground chicken in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through, chopping up into small pieces as it cooks.
  2. Add and sauté diced onions for about 2 minutes, until translucent.
  3. Add garlic and cook another minute.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes and chicken broth.
  5. Add remaining herbs and spices and stir until combined.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours for best flavors.
  7. Remove bay leaf and serve Bolognese over your favorite pasta.
