Ingredients & Directions

Directions

Instant Pot Whole Chicken

1
1 1/2 cups
Chicken broth
1 1/2 tablespoons
Olive oil
1/4 teaspoon
Smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon
Celery flakes
1 teaspoon
Garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon
Salt
1/4 teaspoon
Black pepper
Fresh oregano, rosemary, sage, and thyme
1/2
Lemon, quartered
3 cloves
Garlic, whole
  1. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, celery flakes, and minced garlic. Rub seasoning mixture all over the chicken and under the skin. Place lemon quarters, whole garlic cloves, and fresh herbs inside the chicken cavity.
  2. Add 1.5 cups chicken broth to the Instant Pot insert, and set the trivet inside. Place the chicken on the trivet, close the lid, and seal the steam valve. Set time for 25 minutes, and cook (make sure Instant Pot is set for high pressure). Once the cooking is complete, turn off Instant Pot and allow the pressure to reduce naturally (about 10 minutes). Finish under oven broiler for 3-5 if you prefer a crispier skin. Enjoy!
