miller grove high school culinary arts program awarded exemplary program status from acfefac

Chef Keio Gayden of Miller Grove High School in Lithonia, Georgia, continues to lead the charge in helping to educate and inspire students in the culinary arts world. Springer Mountain Farms has been a proud partner of the Miller Grove High School Culinary Program for numerous years. It is amazing to see the talent that Chef Keio has tapped into with her students, and how she constantly pushes and inspires them to do incredible things in the kitchen.

It’s no surprise to learn that under Chef Keio’s guidance and that of her incredibly engaged and talented Advisory Committee, that the Miller Grove High School Culinary Program was recently awarded the Exemplary Program Award from the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFEFAC) after an extensive review process and site visit in April of 2022. MGHS is one of only 2 high schools in the state of Georgia to be awarded this status.

Exemplary Programs symbolize the highest educational standards recognized by the ACFEFAC. The award is presented to programs that have proven full compliance with all ACFEFAC accreditation requirements in the last visiting team report along with excellent management of the program.

Congratulations Chef Keio Gayden & Miller Grove High School Culinary Program on this incredible accomplishment!
