After a little more of seven years operating Puckett’s Boat House, their seafood-centric restaurant concept in downtown Franklin, A. Marshall Hospitality has made a bit of a pivot and reimagined the cozy space as a new beer-focused restaurant named Americana Taphouse. Located at 94 E. Main St. in the heart of downtown, Americana Taphouse is immediately recognizable as an A. Marshall property with its focus on elevated Southern food like slow-cooked pot roast and grits or chicken and waffles with fig-honey jam along with tantalizing tacos, burgers, sandwiches and salads.

Company CEO Andy Marshall is thankful for Franklin’s past support for the Boathouse but also excited about the new concept. “Our location on Main Street gives us the opportunity to cross paths with both Franklin residents and many visitors whose feedback means a lot to us,” Marshall shares. “We’re thankful for the tremendous support of Puckett’s Boat House over the last eight years, and we’re eager to introduce a new, comfortable place to the downtown dining scene, where all ages can spend time together over great food and great beer.”

Middle Tennessee boasts an abundance of great craft breweries, and American Taphouse looks to take advantage of this trend. The taproom will offer 24 beers on rotating taps, including popular and hard-to-find craft brews and local features, like New Heights’ Navel Gazer Imperial Stout, New Belgium’s La Folie Sour Brown Ale, and Rogue Ales’ Hazelnut Brown Nectar. They’ve also collaborated with local favorite Blackstone Brewing Co. to create their own beer, Puckett’s Brew, a helles-style lager that will certainly be a regular favorite at the bar. Guests can keep track of what’s currently on tap by checking out a special dedicated webpage that will be updated frequently. Wine, spirits and cocktails will also be available from the bar.

Americana Taphouse is open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Something to look forward to when the weather gets warmer will be the restaurant's two outdoor patio areas which will offer al fresco dining and outdoor games. While the Boathouse will certainly be missed by some of its fans, Americana Taphouse is an exciting new addition to the Franklin drinking and dining scene!
