two meaty food festivals you can’t miss in charlotte

According to the results on Groundhog’s Day, we’ll be expecting an early spring this year. So, it’s not too soon to start thinking about all the outdoor festivities coming our way in Charlotte. Mark your calendars now for these meat-filled weekend activities and consider buying your tickets now before they sell out.

Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival
When: Saturday, March 7, 2020 (noon-6 p.m.)
Where: Bank of America Stadium
What: These three B’s are meant to be enjoyed together. Celebrate all things beer, bourbon, and BBQ at the 14th annual festival this March. Guests will receive a souvenir glass to enjoy unlimited samples from over 60 beer vendors and over 40 bourbon providers while enjoying live music. Barbeque masters will be on site smoking whole hogs, chicken, ribs, wings, and sausages and serving up southern side dishes and lots of sauces. Food will be priced a la carte. VIP Whole Hog tickets (noon) include two extra hours of sampling, a BBQ dinner plate, and the souvenir glass with unlimited drink tasting for $75/person. General Admission (2 p.m.) includes the souvenir glass and unlimited drink tasting for $39/person. A portion of proceeds will go to Spirit of Hope Children’s Foundation.
Who: Beer will be provided by Ginger’s Revenge, Guinness, Gilde, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Heavy Seas Beer, and more. Taste bourbon from Wild Turkey, Warehouse Distillery, Whistlepig, Virginia Distillery, Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine, Old Nick Williams Co., Bulleit Bourbon, Tito’s, George Dickel, and more. And finally, the good eats will come from The Redneck Bubba, Carolina Barbecue Company, Fat  Boys BBQ, Killer Q, and more.

Moo & Brew Festival
When:
Saturday, April 4, 2020 (12:30-5 p.m.)
Where:
AvidXchange Music Factory
What:
Fifty beer vendors and 12 Charlotte restaurants will join forces to celebrate beer and burgers at the 6th annual Moo & Brew Festival this April. Music fans will be pleased to hear that Blues Traveler, Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, and Illiterate Light will be performing throughout the event. VIP tickets (12:30 p.m.) include early access, unlimited beer sampling, a free burger, swag from sponsors, and access to a VIP area for $55/person. General Admission (2 p.m.) includes an unlimited beer sampling in a souvenir glass for $40/person. A portion of proceeds will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.
Who:
Enjoy beer from local and national brewers like Lenny Boy, Bird Song, Old Mecklenburg, Sugar Creek, Sierra Nevada, Catawba, Fonta Flora, Shiner, and plenty more. So far, only a few burger vendors have been announced: What the Fries, Ace. No. 3, Bang Bang Burgers, and Carolina Ale House.
