Chicken Taco Salad

1 lb
Springer Mountain Farms Ground Chicken
1/4 cup
Taco seasoning*
1/4 cup
Taco sauce or salsa
4 cups
Shredded lettuce (your choice)
1 cup
Shredded Fiesta Cheese Blend
1
Avocado, pitted, peeled and diced
1 tablespoon
Lime juice
Salt & pepper to taste
1 cup
Cherry tomatoes, quartered
Nacho flavored tortilla chips, crushed
  1. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Add ground chicken and break apart as it cooks and browns slightly.
  3. Once meat is fully cooked, add the taco seasoning mixture and stir heating for about 1 minute.
  4. Add taco sauce/salsa and heat for just a few seconds until sauce is warm; set aside for serving.
  5. To serve, place lettuce in a bowl, top with taco meat, and add additional toppings (shredded cheese, diced avocado & tomatoes and crushed nacho chips).
  6. If additional dressing is desired, we recommend and avocado cilantro type dressing or your favorite flavor!
